Who runs this site
File Compressor (file-compressor.com) is operated by LoverPDF. Contact: [email protected]. The same operator runs our sister site Video Compressor (video-compressor.net).
What happens to your files
- The images you choose are uploaded over an encrypted connection to our server in Europe and processed there. They are not sent to any third party and are not used to train AI models.
- Files are stored under random identifiers, never under your file name. We don't keep your file name on the server; it is only used in your browser to name the download.
- The download link expires 60 minutes after processing finishes. An automatic job then deletes the original and the result, normally within 75 minutes of processing. If you cancel, files are deleted immediately.
- Only someone holding the private link created in your browser can download the result. Closing the tab loses that link; we can't recover it.
What we log
For operations and abuse prevention we log technical events without file contents or names: the tool used, size range, processing time and error codes. Rate limiting uses a keyed hash of your IP address that changes daily; we don't store IP addresses in our application logs. Job records without file names are kept for up to 30 days, then deleted.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies and uses no advertising or third-party tracking scripts.
Your rights
You can ask us about or request deletion of any data relating to you via the contact address above. Because we don't link files to identities, uploaded files are normally deleted automatically before any request could be processed.
