Common questions
What files can I compress?
JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 100 MB, from your device or a public link. Videos go to Video Compressor and PDFs to LoverPDF.
Why was my file rejected?
We check the file's contents, not just its name. A renamed file (for example a HEIC photo renamed to .jpg) is rejected with a clear message. HEIC, GIF and AVIF aren't supported yet.
The tool says “Above target”. What now?
The file couldn't fit your target at acceptable quality. Try a larger target or allow smaller dimensions (Advanced settings).
It says “already well optimized”.
Compressing further would make the file larger or visibly worse, so we offer the original unchanged.
How long are my files kept?
Download links expire 60 minutes after processing; files are deleted automatically, normally within 75 minutes. Canceling deletes them immediately.
I closed the tab. Can I get my file back?
No. Only your browser held the private link to the result. Compress the original again.
What does the error code mean?
It identifies the problem precisely. Include it if you contact us; please don't send the file itself.
